It’s begun from the time we moved our office to the next building. It was when I was in Sultra, acquiring GPR data for nickel exploration. One Laptop bag consist of HP Pavillion laptop, serial to usb cable, Trimble Business Center Installer CD (1), and its dongle (2). We don’t pay attention much if the laptop was gone, but the dongles ! US$ 3000 each… We cannot process the GPS Trimble R3 data in the future now….
It’s about a week or more, we lost track of HP evo520 laptop. Last time I saw it when my partner backup the data from the laptop… and then my partner that responsible to the laptop had a new toshiba laptop and… PUFF!! we don'’t have no idea untill now, when inventoryman want to inventory it.
Just yesterday, my partner want to reinstall his laptop.. But when he search the CD’s, he can’t found it nowhere. It’s not 1-2 CD, but its content are Vista 32&64bit, Office2007, Acrobat9, McAffee2009, FM2009, ‘busyet dah!’ Our Headquarter office (our place before), also lost it’s laptop in the bright daylight! It predicted gone when the employee gone lunch upstairs, so no one at the 1st floor and the door was unlocked as usual.
Last week, I borrowed it to my house and plan to reinstall my PC, but my monitor is malfunctioned, so I put the CD’s back to it’s place…
From now on, all the CD’s left must be placed in a locked cupboard.
So, we have to be more carefull now.
- Don’t leave anything precious at the place when nobody keep on eye of that
- Always lock personal drawer, and we can place our valuable things in there
- All inventory should have logging book.
- Stay guard when everybody doing a same activities in one place, such as lunch or training or meeting…
- May be that is all we can do for now to the future….

beuh…. aya nu poho naro…
bagabaga ahahahahahaha… tapi FM2008 ama McAffee2009 na teuteup eweh….
